PLANNING FOR THE NEXT DECADE

Our future starts with you.

What makes you feel your most creative?
What makes you feel connected to your community?
That’s important to us. In fact, it’s essential to who we are. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is building on our first ten years of inspiring and strengthening the community by investing in arts and culture. That’s our mission. And as we look to the future, we need to know what our community needs in order to keep leading that charge and connecting residents to thousands of arts and cultural experiences each year.

In 2015, Cuyahoga County residents overwhelmingly supported the renewal of the 10-year tax to support arts and culture in Cuyahoga County. With our eyes on the future and the support of our community, it is time for CAC to make connections, build relationships, listen, and learn. So, that’s what we’re doing.

Our staff and board embarked on a year-long community listening process to understand: how can we best support the creative life of Cuyahoga County residents, today, tomorrow and in the years to come? To see more of our plans for the next decade, see Next Steps.

Method

In 2016, residents, community leaders, and local and national experts came together to talk about the arts in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, and how CAC can support the changing world we live in.

Values

Get a sense of what shapes our work every day. Who we are as an organization has a big impact on how we operate. During this process, we took a hard look at ourselves and our work—and re-shaped our values accordingly.

Partners

We can’t do this alone. Meet the people behind our work. Dozens of people were essential to helping us make connections, hold conversations, inform our thinking and shape the priorities of our future work.
